Vicki first became intrigued with woodworking in 1986 when she watched a Shopsmith demonstration at a local home and garden show. At one time she even contemplated pursuing a job as a Shopsmith traveling salesperson. Consequently this "5-in-One" tool became her first workshop equipment. Quickly following this aquisition she was hooked on woodworking and started selling small projects at a local craft mall. Although she has quite a few additional tools today the Shopsmith still plays a small roll in many of her projects.
Woodworking takes on many forms for Vicki, such as re-purposing old furniture, creating custom furniture & home decor designs, or the every day home improvement project. One of her favorite things to do is to incorporate found items into her projects. Although woodworking has been an integral part of her life throughout the years other interests, such as creating hand-forged metal jewelry and other metal work, have taken center stage on occasion. Vicki's projects are showcased on her website, social media, and in her store in Saint Simons Island, GA, where everything in the store is hand made right here on the island by one of two local artists. When you get an opportunity stop in on my social media sites and comment, "like", or meander through. I would love to hear from you! And let me know if you would like to work on a custom project together.
